6. My favorite book?
Though i love all books and will read anything given to me i have to admit my favorite is the Harry Potter Series. followed by a close second is the Hunger Games series. Both series are filled with action, some romance and mystery. the keep kids interested as well as most adults to. so these would be my pick of favorite.

5. What is in my bag/purse?
This one is easy in my purse is my cell phone, wallet, epipen, and a note pad for when i get the urge to write down things or take notes for future writing. oh plus i have a pill box with the essential Tylenol, zantac, and allergy pills.

Day 4 of 30
4. My favorite movie?
this is was a little easier to answer but not by much as i consider anything starring Johnny Depp to be my favorite but on further consideration i came to realize that the one movie i seem to always gravitate to when wanting to watch an old movie was "Benny and Joon". i enjoy this movie because it is a beautifully played out love story not just between Joon and Sam but it also explores the love between siblings. You have a three way love story going on you have the story of love between an older brother trying to protect his younger less stable sister. you have the love story forming between Sam and Joon that makes you feel anyone can fall in love and be loved no matter how different they are, then you have the love story between Benny and the waitress which tell how a man who has spent his life caring for his sister has now got to learn to be himself and find love on his own. it is truly a lovely movie and one to be watched over and over again.
i am now officially caught up on the blog challenge so onward we go.

3. A recent photo and a photo from 10yrs ago.
this one was a little harder for me okay a lot harder as i hate they way i look. i always have and probably always will. so taking pictures is something i avoid if i can. that be said i did manage to dig up to that were taken of me or rather i was forced into taking. i warn you now they are awful and can scare the toughest of people so look at your own caution.

Day 2 of 30
2. My favorite song
well this one is a little harder for me a i don't necessarily have a favorite song. i like many many songs and depending on my mood depends on what i listen to. That being said if i went to my ipod right now and picked a song to listen to it would be Fight like a Girl by Bomshel this song has such a powerful meaning to the words that i just really enjoy listening to it. In the chorus of the song the words read
So, hold your head high.

Love yourself, give them Hell.
You can take on this world.
You just stand and be strong
And then fight
Like a girl."
i feel that we all could use these words of encouragement. In a world where so much violence, discrimination and bullying is going on it is so important to tell people that they are beautiful and strong. to let them know that no matter what they should never allow anyone to make them feel less they they are and to hold their heads high and to love themselves no matter what. so i guess this would qualify as my favorite song at the moment but as with life it could change.

Day 1 of 30
1. 15 facts about me
okay here we go on the first day of the 30 day blog challenge.
1. have been married 18 years to the same man who is the love of my life though there are days we wander about how we have made it this far.
2. i have a 10 year old son who is my one true miracle and the center of my world. he is the one thing in this life i know i got absolutely right.
3. my favorite color is blue it reminds me of the sky and the endless possibilities it holds. when you look to the sky it seems to be an endless and infinite i love that feel of freedom.
4. i am fighting end stage renal failure though it is uncertain as to when i will bid this fine world goodbye it is a definite that i will. i have a rare kidney disease that the doctor can neither cure nor fix and so i am left with the knowledge that each day i am given is another day to cherish and live to it's fullest potential with no regrets.
5. i love going to Disney world on vacation it has become our annual vacation and my son loves it. with each year he finds new and interesting things to do and see. plus with each year we find that he tries new rides that allow for new experiences.
6. i am a book addict. i love to read any kind of book, anytime of day, anywhere i can.
7. i am also addict to chocolate. i will eat chocolate in any form ice cream, candy, cookies, even fruit dipped in chocolate all of it is fair game in my book.
8. i love music any kind of music. i don't stick with any one genre or any one kind. If it is music then i want to hear it everything from Reba to Adam Lambert and everything in between.
9. i have 6 brothers and no sisters. I am the second oldest from my mom's first marriage and with that came an older brother. then when mom remarried she followed with five younger brothers so i have been surround my whole life my male influences. might explain why i am not a girlie girl.
10. i love to write though I'm not good at it. i am in no way a fabulous writer but it doesn't stop me from writing which means if you are reading his blog you are subjected to some really bad ramblings and for that i am sorry but i am so thankful you take the time to muddle through and i love you for it.
11. i am a Sagittarius Optimistic and freedom-loving, Jovial and good-humored ,Honest and straightforward, Intellectual and philosophical. On the dark side....Blindly optimistic and careless, Irresponsible and superficial, Tactless and restless. well hello me.
12. i am i huge fan of johnny depp and Tim Burton. i think their work is very unique and different and when they join forces to create a movie you get an amazing piece of work that not only captivates you and it makes you look at characters in whole new light.
13. my favorite Disney movie is Alice in Wonderland. I love this movie because i love that not everything is not as it seems and that stepping through a looking or falling down a rabbit hole can result in you finding out who you really are by seeing things in a different way.
14. My favorite TV show is House i love Dr. Gregory House he is a smart mouth, hold no prisoners, unorthodox type personality keeps me coming back for more in hopes that at some point people will stop trying to fix him and just let him be his brilliant cranky self that holds great genius in solving the most unusual was.of cases. If he were a true living breathing person i would do whatever necessary to ensure him as my doctor.
15. and the last fact about me is that my favorite quote is by Anon and he simply said “Life is not a journey to the grave with intentions of arriving safely in a pretty well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming ... WOW! What a ride!” and i hope beyond any shadow of doubt that i live my life so that i may skid into my grave one day shouting WOW what a ride my life was.

Halloween
So the Halloween weekend has come and gone and to my surprise i was given a trick instead of a treat this year. the weekend started off good with our annual fall festival at the lake on Friday. My son went as his usual a vampire and had a really good time even if a girl fell on him and his uncle who is 22 got his butt kicked by a 10 year old girl in a sack race. how embarrassing to the family.
Saturday brought my son waking to a stomach ache and most would assume it was from to much candy intake but seeing as my son does not eat much candy this was not the case. so we did the usually ginger ale and crackers and waited.by noon the stomach wasn't any better and he had spiked a fever so it was call the doctor and go to after hour care unit to be seen. doctor not sure what it might be sends me and said child to ER for full exam. now for anyone who has gone to a local ER you know this means a long wait to be seen and an even longer wait for test to be run. so we wait finally around 9pm mom has had enough I'm tired, irritated and not happy my child is left in pain so i go all mommy crazy on staff. this produces lab results and a trip to CT Scan. after which they finally decide it's his appendix's and he needs to be admitted. so at midnight we are finally in a room with the possibility of finally getting things done.
Sunday we are awaken at 6am by the surgeon telling us he is taking Cliff to the OR for surgery. He is taken in at 7am and by 8am i am called to recovery where the doctor tells me that it was a good thing i brought him in because when he got inside to look at Cliff's appendix they were so inflamed they might have burst if he waited any longer. so now my son is back in his room and recovering nicely. he has exceeded the doctors expectation because he is up and walking and eating within two hours of surgery so by 6pm Sunday night we are on our way home. so i spent the entire Halloween weekend in the hospital and though i may not have gotten a treat i did get to put on my momma bear costume and go all crazy on a medical staff so it was all good.
on a side note son is doing very well and will hopefully return to school tomorrow thank goodness.
