Haiku Monday 12-3-12

Welcome back to another edition of haiku Monday our host Feur's Pearls and our theme Pretend. So grab your pen and write. Remember haiku have 17 syllables in a 5-7-5 pattern. You can write as many as you like but only two will be judge so be sure when you place them in the comment box on Fleur's blog please let her know which ones are up for judging. Oh and have fun.

emerald colored eyes
cold, icy stare of contempt
shattered heart hidden

polite smile, new wife
"yes dear", words drip sweet honey
burnt dinner again

I love both of these Becca, the first is really funny too, that poor wife must feel horrible but she'll pick up soon I reckon!

Loved the eyes as shield for the heart! I think this is often too true. Happy Monday

Beautiful first image. It's always touched me (and driven me crazy) when, in movies (or real life) people act aloof, indifferent or scathing when you know their hearts are breaking. Your first haiku really captured that. And I love the second one, too--that image is great!

Good evening Becca,

Your first is most captivating, although I don't get the impression it's pretend.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm going to be one of those burnt dinner housewives. LOL

But that's okay. Charring food adds character ^.^

Both great poems!
